Walking Program Referrals

Strategies for Falls Prevention and Injury Reduction
Falls may be the result of many contributing factors. We assess for physical, behavioural, biological, and environmental risk factors, and suggest strategies and interventions to reduce the risk of falling.
Wheelchair and Seating Assessments
Our wheelchair assessment includes evaluation of the residents clinical, functional, and environmental needs. We recommend specific seating and mobility products based on our assessment. Following that we liaise with medical suppliers, arrange equipment demos, and contact your insurance company or provider to request approval for specific equipment.
Assessment of Adaptive Aids / Assistive Devices
Adaptive aids make daily tasks easier. We can determine which aids and equipment would work best.
Wound Management Consultation
We assess for specific equipment and/or strategies to assist in healing wounds. We also educate and support residents, staff, and families on the proper use of such equipment.

Private Services
Private Pay Services
Private pay services can be pursued by families who wish to purchase additional rehabilitation services over and above the “in–house” programs their care home may be providing.
This means that residents have the option to increase the number of sessions they receive for physiotherapy and/or occupational therapy service.
Some therapies are covered by extended medical benefits. We encourage families to check with their provider to confirm coverage.
